Hi friends! I am back and excited to announce that I'm joining the Ink Road Stamps Design Team in 2021. I can't wait to share my creations with you!
Today I'm up on the Ink Road Stamps blog highlighting the Basic Sentiment Strips. This set is incredibly versatile, whether you choose to nab the separated sentiments or the large stamp with all sentiments. I love that you can use the large stamp as a background or cut the sentiments apart!
For these cards, I stamped Bella Flora on watercolor paper with watermark ink. I started to loosely watercolor the flowers with pinks and blues. As my first card was drying, I realized I had a lot of leftover watercolor...
...so I didn't stop creating! I stamped out a few more backgrounds but the watermark ink didn't stamp completely on all of them. Watercolor paper tends to be heavily textured, so this can happen if your stamp pad is beginning to dry or if you don't apply enough pressure when stamping. I used the watercolors to ink smoosh, using bright colors to hide any incomplete stamping.
I love that I can mix and match these sentiments together to create cards with different themes, or I can use them to accent a large word stamp or die.
I wanted to add more interest, so I went with sparkle and matted the backgrounds and sentiments on glitter cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed my process! I look forward to sharing more projects with you. Use code BriannaJ10 to snag a sweet 10% discount on your purchase. I can't wait to see what you make!
