Please Take Him!

I'm back, this time with a not-so-sweet card featuring Ink Road Stamps. Unfortunately, many of us can relate to this feeling as we've had it at one point or another!

One of my favorite parts of card making is that I can customize the card for the recipient. Break Up is the perfect set for your friends who can laugh through their tears (or need a reminder that some endings are good!).

I used the strip of hearts to create a background with distress oxide inks. I stamped them in rainbow colors, slighty offsetting every other row to add some variety.

Break ups can be quite messy, so I misted the background with water until the inks began to react and run. I used a paper towel to dab away any places where the water pooled or where the colors began to muddy.

Once dry, I stamped Love Stinks directly on the background in black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a strip of black paper, and used foam tape to pop it up below Love Stinks. To complete this card, I went over a few of the background hearts with glossy accents.

This was a fun card to make and hopefully it will brighten a friend's day when they may not be feeling the best.

I hope you enjoyed this project. If you want to snag this set, use code BriannaJ10 for an awesome 10% discount! I'm excited to see your cards!
